One Last Day of Summer Smiles

Tuesday, August 31st - it seems like this was our last day of summer. It reached 92 degrees. I had been wanting to take Carter to the waterpark, so we made last minute plans to go. We went with Molly, Brady, and Brenna - and asked Carly to come along to play, too. It worked out beautifully...Molly and I took turns watching after the babies so that we could each spend quality time with our big boys. We floated down the lazy river, went in the wave pool, and played in the big water play area. Carter got brave and went down a few of the slides. He would try to avoid the water pouring down at the top of the slide, and always wiped his face off before heading down. I was so proud of him - and just LOVED seeing his summer smiles.

Blake's Baptism

Blake was Baptized at our church on August 29th. We had a little breakfast at our house afterwards - and some Costco cake - YUM! Welcome to God's Kingdom, sweet little boy!

Since Carter is such a great "biker" now, we built a little Sutton City in our driveway for his riding pleasure. It was SUCH a hit! He spent 4 days doing nothing but riding in the driveway. I can only imagine what was running through his little mind..."Good turn, Carter!" and "Pass him, Pass him."

Happy 30th Birthday, Evan!

2 Months Old!

How does this happen so quickly??? Our baby is already 2 months old - he is starting to talk, and he is very generous with his smiles! He enjoys looking at windows and the canvas squares that Carter painted for his bedroom. He is a snuggler, but is perfectly content entertaining himself for small periods of time (which is a necessity when there's a 3 year old big brother in the picture). Blake loves taking baths and kicks his feet the entire time, with a big smile on his face. I said tonight that he's getting banned from taking baths on the bathroom counter...he gets water all over the floor and mirror from his excessive kicking! We have been blessed with A SLEEPER this time... He isn't perfect, but Blake is TOTALLY different from Carter in the sleep department. He's sleeping in his crib for the first time tonight. I'm sad... We're not letting this one sleep in our bed like we did with Carter, so it's the end of an era for us. BUT, the beginning of TONS of fun as he becomes more social and playful :)
