Best of Friends

I am so thankful for these friends! We used to get together for tacos once a month...but since we've added 6 kids to the mix, it's been 6 months since the last time! We still have tons of fun together - and I don't want to imagine life without them.

1 Month Old

Our baby boy is already one month old (as of July 25)!! Of course, we had to have a mini photo shoot... And, of course, Carter had to take part :) You can tell that Blake was absolutely thrilled to have his big brother stealing the thunder! Blake went to his one month well-visit on Monday and he weighs 10 pounds 7 ounces already. That's 3 pounds gained since birth, and I cannot believe it! He's out of newborn diapers and his newborn clothes. It really does go by way too fast. He is starting to study our faces a lot more, but prefers to look at windows. He is a sweet little boy and we feel so blessed to have him in our family!

It's PET WEEK at Carter's school s0 he came home yesterday with a pink nose, whiskers, and little black ears....oh, and he was meow-ing. He was quite convincing :) He has "homework" to bring in a picture of him with his pets...here is the result!

Baby Look-Alikes

I put this sleeper on Blake and was reminded of a photo we have of Carter wearing the same sleeper shortly after he was born. After I fed Blake, I looked at the photo of Carter to compare the two - and to my surprise, they were in the EXACT SAME POSITION! I cannot believe the similarities in their appearance and mannerisms. However, Blake is MUCH more laid-back than Carter ever was!

PS: Carter could NOT believe that Blake had a "big brother" shirt just like his...he thought it was even cooler when I explained that Blake's said "little brother!"
