The things he says...

Carter is always making me laugh with the things he says...

Me: Carter, why do you eat your boogers? Next time you get one, let me know so I can try one.
Carter: Noooo....
Me: Come on, they must be yummy - you eat them all the time.
Carter: Yeah, they ARE yummy....but they are not healthy for you.

Carter: Mom, where is Car? (Carly, our cousin)
Me: Who's that? I don't know who you're talking about.
Carter: You know, my cousin, Car.
Me: Oh, you mean MY cousin, Carly??
Carter: No, she's MY cousin, Car.
Me: But can't we share her?
Carter: Nooo...but you could wove (love) Katie!

I wish I had a camera crew around 24/7 just to capture his absolute cuteness!

Snuggle Days

Our Valentine's Day deviated from the original plan. I was supposed to work. Instead I spent the day at home with one of my most special Valentine's, Carter...he has pneumonia. He is finally beginning to recover (and it's late Thursday night). I wish I had some pictures of him to post but he hasn't been feeling well for weeks, and he has been very uncooperative. One thing he is cooperative about...snuggle time with his Mommy. What a blessing :)

My littlest Valentine, Blake, was diagnosed with pneumonia on Tuesday morning. He is still in bad shape, but we have managed to keep him out of the hospital. He is sleeping comfortably (finally!) on my lap as I type this.

I've had four snuggle days with my little Valentine's. Stressful and worrisome snuggle days. But, snuggle days, nonetheless. I'm SO tired, the house is a mess, and laundry is piling up...but I have spent some quality time with my little boys - and hopefully the extra snuggles have helped in their path to recovery.

Enjoy a few photos of smiley Blake a few days before the pneumonia struck.

Family Splash Fun!

We spent a weekend at an indoor waterpark/hotel and had a great time together. The water was chilly (Carter turned blue), Carter was still getting over a sinus infection (translation: he was VERY difficult), and it took us 35 minutes to drive a mile down the road for dinner because of Snow Fest. But, we made memories and had a fun time together...and that's all that really matters!

Tried getting some pictures of Blake's new teeth!

Here is Carter running away from us and squealing...LOVE the hair :)

Our Snowman

An unsuccessful search for pinecones led to this little snowman...which Carter named "Daddy." We got him built, found sticks for arms, and a carrot nose...then Carter said "Hmmm...now we just need a hat and a broom." I think the shovel is a good substitute. He looks good - and we had fun.
