Carter went skiing!
One of my to-dos this winter was to take Carter skiing. I haven't been on skis since I was 11 years old, so I asked my friend, Elizabeth, to go with us since she's an awesome skier. She was esentially Carter's personal instructor, and she did awesome with him! Carter went up the "magic carpet" a few times, then pointed to the bigger hill with the tow rope and said, "that one." And so he did. Towards the end, he even rode the chair lift and went down a really long run. We had so much fun! (And PS: I didn't fall or crash into anyone) Mission: Accomplished.

My Angel :)
I'm not sure what's better - making snow angels, or watching your angel make a snow angel...so cute! Our snow is currently MELTED (on January 1st - who ever heard of such a thing?!). But we're positive that more is on the way and we're looking forward to playing in the snow, going sledding, and making more snow angels.
So be good for goodness sake!
It was supposed to be a "stay-home day" for us, but instead we went to school for a few hours to celebrate Christmas with school friends. I love seeing Carter interact with his friends and teachers...although, he's always a bit shy when I'm there - he wants to sit on my lap for everything and he's generally clingy. He had a book exchange with friends, he decorated a treat bag, made a bracelet, and decorated/sprinkled/ate a cupcake. Oh...and then there was a visit from Santa...which Carter wasn't thrilled about. All the other kids were excited to sit on Santa's lap. But, Carter said "Mom, I already did...at the mall...remember?!" So, he just watched. Except for when his friend, Tyler, was on Santa's lap. Santa asked Tyler what he wanted for Christmas and if he had been a good boy this year. Tyler nodded his head "yes" - but Carter knew better...he looked at me, and looked at Santa and said "Tyler pushes!" Don't worry, Carter. Santa is ALWAYS watching. He knows if you've been bad or good - so be good for goodness sake!

Seeing Santa
We visited Santa with The Smith's and Schwalbach's. Of course, the kids had SO much fun together! It's a good thing there's a lot of space and not a ton of people at this mall, because our kids make it their home :) Carter actually sat on Santa's lap this year, and we were so proud of him. He looked like he was going to cry at first. But, we said "Hey, Carter - this is your chance to tell Santa what you want him to bring you for Christmas..." And he started talking. Carter was only asking for one thing this year - football guys. We bought him Michigan football guys for his 3rd birthday, but now he wants opponents...specifially, Michigan State, Broncos, Lions, and occasionally he asks for Ohio State. Poor little Blake was dealing with an amoxicillin allergy...please ignore his polka-dottedness. Sorry...no Santa pictures because I didn't want to spend an insane amount of money to purchase the CD and I haven't been able to scan our photo yet.

Christmas Tree Lighting
Our Township had a really fun Christmas Tree lighting event planned for Dec 1st and we definitely planned on going! They were announcing the winners for the Gingerbread House contest, which Carter had entered his gingerbread train into. We had dinner with Molly, Brady, and Brenna and then headed over to the Christmas Tree Lighting around 6:30. It was FREEZING cold! And...we found out that they weren't lighting the tree until 8pm. Blake was getting hungry and we were all way too cold, even being all bundled up. So, we left...but it was still fun and festive :)
