Blakey Boy

He loves his panda bear

Such a happy baby!

I cannot get over how cute this is!

Celebrating Fall

We've been enjoying the beautiful fall weather and enjoying each other...

Just a regular morning before breakfast - I love their smiles!

Carter and I assembled ghosts and hung them in the trees.

So proud :)

We went to the Zoo Boo last week. Carter only wore his costume in the
parking lot. I have to redesign it into a sandwich board type style.

Carter's first Field Trip

Carter went on his very first field trip last week! I couldn't miss it, so I tagged along (as did 99% of the other parents). We went on a tractor ride to the pie pumpkin patch, picked an apple, had cider and donuts, played, played, and played. It was a great day together! Carter would see a friend and say "Hey, Duuuude!" in a really deep voice. I don't know where he got that from, but it was really cute :)

On the tractor ride headed to the pumpkin patch.

This is the pumpkin Carter picked out.

He finally figured out the zip line (on our fourth trip to the same place)

Playing in the corn box (sand box - sand + corn = corn box)

He loved these chickens and talked to them as if they were babies :)

The Big House Big Heart 5K

We participated in The Big House Big Heart 5K a few weeks ago.
Not much to say about it - but here's some pictures :)

Carter was all bundled up and ready to ride for 3 miles around U of M campus!

Just before we ran through THE tunnel (he was distracted because
he heard them playing "Hail to the Victors")

Carly and Carter had a blast playing football on the field

Ouch!

We were in Ann Arbor today for The Big House Big Heart 5K (pictures to be posted later). We had a great time - but just before we left for home, we decided to stop in one last bookstore to see if they had any good shirts for Blake. On our way into a store, Carter tripped on some very uneven flooring, fell, and hit his eyebrow on the window display platform. We rushed him to the U of M Hospital where he received 2 stitches and glue to hold the wound shut. Originally, the doctors thought they would have to do 5 to 9 stitches. Once they started irrigating, they realized that the scar tissue from his last eyebrow injury (in early June) protected a large part of the skin from breaking and he suffered only a puncture-like abrasion over his existing scar. They stitched the other portion, and put glue across the entire wound to protect it from potentially bursting open, and to help it heal better. Carter was SO good during his repair... He cried, but it was a very controlled cry :) He wanted "to be done" but settled down a bit when we talked about how he was at the hospital that the Michigan football players come to when they get hurt, and when we discussed his baby brother, and when we talked about Disney World. My poor little boy... He just wanted to look at the pompons in the window display!

In this photo, you can see the uneven flooring that he tripped on

The trauma... Poor Carter :(
